The project photos below show her work on a large mountain home, a ranch house, and a condominium.

Large Mountain Home

The project was interior design for a 7,000 square foot home. The scale was important; it had to carry the size and volume of the space but not impair the function of movement. The client wanted a sophisticated working ranch feeling that was versatile enough to accommodate entertaining large groups. The photo on the home page shows the living room. The photos below show other rooms in the house.

Dining room has faux wall with a streia glaze. Moss leather seats and saddles on chairs.

Custom designed curved sofa

The two wingback chairs and ottomans are in a green leather. French gate leg table allows the floor plan to expand or tighten up as desired. Copper lamp.

Floor lamp from Hammerton in iron with rawhide shade. TV and electronic are in Armoire.

Ranch House

This remodel included the main house, a library addition and a sunroom addition. The client had many Chinese antiques to incorporate and also loves the French provincial style. Whenever possible, the design incorporated custom elements created by local craftsmen.

The library - coffee velvet draperies are from France. The stove features custom tile work.

A piece in the Library features birch and alder inlay. This is a close up of custom birch bark and alder wood work. Marti designed the custom library book cases out of cherry wood. On lays of birch bark and red alder create the design.

The custom Woodland trundle bed doubles as seating when the Wine Tasting table is opened for meals. The curtain fabric is from Stroheime & Romann with custom wrought iron rods, finals and wands.

12-foot curved window seat, front board was upholstered in the cushion fabric to soften and warm the window area.

The Bathroom. The sink cabinet is an antique from China. It was small so we built a platform which raised it. The floor platform and surround is tiled in a mica porcelain. A porcher above the bowl sink also balances the size of the cabinet. Specialty painting surrounds the bathroom. An antique Chinese screen gives privacy to the toilet.

Condominium

This project involved design for a new 5-story condo, which Marti remodeled and furnished before occupation. The clients lived in Minnesota so this was a very successful long distance project. The client had several ski condos and were tired of the stereotype mountain lodge look.

Exterior rockwork and planters.

Marti designed this 7' cherry wood piece for large gatherings. The dining area was small and the inlayed granite center can hold hot dishes.

Living room fireplace - 10' long, mantel has two electrical inset sockets for lamps at each end. T.V. area has pull down to hide screen.

Stickely sofa - recovered in a blanket pattern from Ralph Lauren.
